Ruth Ritchie is an author, playwright, ex-advertising copywriter and columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald. After a decade of writing about food, cleaning, sex and bars, Ruth found herself at home, pinned under several children, and snapped up the position of TV critic in Saturday's Sydney Morning Herald. Although she has held this gig for 16 years, she has never written about Home and Away. Her eldest son (16) is now old enough to be a teacher and father of four illegitimate children on Home And Away and she is somewhat regretting the education this soap might have supplied.
